21 May 2007 - "When I Think Of Him, It Makes Me Sick"
As I may or may not have mentioned before, I went to see a band called Funeral For A Friend on Friday with my friends Lois and Karl.
I’d only heard a few of their older songs as I didn’t like the new album; all the songs are about freakin’ water. Seriously! But they did sing one of my favourite songs, History. I’ve liked that song for ages and it was amazing to hear it sung live. The band made a pretty big deal out of the song. During the chorus the band made the whole audience stick two fingers up in the air to go with the lyrics ‘Raise your fingers for one last sorrow’.
At the start of the concert we were quite close to the front. We couldn’t get in a row so me and Karl stood with Lois in front of us. When the second support band came on, we started pushing Lois into the beefy men in front of her and started off a circle pit (where the crowd clears a circle and runs into each other). These random boys tried pushing Karl into it, so we moved away from the pit; Lois was already long lost. When we found her at the end of the concert her hair was wild and she looked absolutely knackered. She had stayed in the pit all concert and threw up everywhere. The lovely people in the pit carried on pushing her whilst she was vomiting everywhere, how nice!
We’re going to see Hit The Lights in October. They’re an amazing band, so if you haven’t heard them before, they’re worth checking out.
In English, we’ve been designing and writing our own magazine. I made the front cover for it. I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out:

Have I missed anything out? Any suggestions? They’re thoroughly welcomed. ![]()
More site updates coming soon. Don’t forget to check out the ‘Post a Secret’ and ‘Submit Your Photography’ pages!
14 May 2007 - "And I Can’t Take It"
I know I promised to get those pages up but I’m afraid you’re gonna have to wait a bit longer. It’s hard to concentrate on my site with the things which are going on at the minute, which I would love to be able to post about, but people who know me come on here. It’s hard to post about anything which really matters for fear of who will read this blog, but there isn’t anyway to get around that really.
Soo, after my fun filled weekend (yeh, right!) it was back to business as usual. When we took our exams in year six, the remaining time of the school year was spent doing fun subjects, but things are different in year nine because school is already prepping us up for our GCSE’s. It’s really annoying because being forced to write stupid speeches for R.E is the last thing I wanna do.
I was so so tempted to just stay in bed this morning and hide from the world. I guess we all feel like that every now and then but I wanted to hide so badly that I began to feel sick. School was alright once I got there. Put on a smile. Act normal. Of course, none of you lot will have a freakin’ clue why I’m whinging on the way I am. But you get the jist of it– I might go into details at a later time.
I’ll leave you with the promise of doing my About Me section and getting up a photography page on Visitor. I’m thinking about making a page where you can submit your own photography. Maybe not photography, stories, words of wisdom… That sort of thing. What do you think?
4 May 2007 - "We Move Along"
I’m sat here in Maths writing this blog, I don’t have too much to blog about; I just felt like it.
We have our KS3 SATs next week, for those of you who don’t know what they are, they’re exams to show how good our school is teaching us, although they are important for us too.
I’ve been attempting to revise all week, particually for science, but I have yet to find the motivation. It’s so annoying because I know that if I don’t revise the chances of me getting a level 7 (the highest you can get at this stage) are very slim. It frustrates me that everyone else except me seems to be able to revise, no problem, but I always end up distracted. This website being one of the main distractions, of course!
I have got most of the ‘About Me’ section up on this website, bar a few pages, which should be up by tomorrow at latest. After I have completed the ‘Site’ section, which shouldn’t take me long, I will put up the visitor section.
Thanks for the comments on my previous blog, I will return them tonight. If you’re an affiliate of mine, could you make sure you’ve updated my link? If you would like to become an affiliate just post a comment and let me know! Thanks.
