Well in my estate the most common job that us under sixteens have is a paper round, which is the equivalent to slave labour. You must wake up at six O’clock every morning on weekdays AND weekends too. After waking up at this disgraceful hour, you must trek round to the other side of your estate to deliver silly propaganda-filled tabloid newspapers to people who probably just look at the pictures. And for all that draining work (which fulfilled little purpose except to fill already exceptionally dim peoples’ heads with nonsense) you are rewarded at the end of the week with the tremendous amount of twenty whole pounds.

I honestly don’t think that’s right. If it was an adult doing this job, then they would be paid a lot more than twenty pounds for a week’s work.

Do you have a part-time job?

I personally find it ridiculous that they assess how good you are at a language by how well you can memorise the answers to questions such as “what would you do if you had a million pounds?” or “what did you do last weekend?”. Sure, when learning languages, memory is a key skill but when if it ever came to a real life conversation with an actual German person, you would have to make up your answer on the spot not recall your answer from memory. And I seriously doubt that upon visiting Germany, I would ever be asked what I would do if I had a million pounds.

However, the ranting of a fourteen (soon to be fifteen!) year old girl on her little blog on the internet isn’t about to change things… so I guess I’d better go and revise. Sigh…

Well the weather is lovely, sort of. It was a bit rubbish yesterday but it´s still ten times better than in England where it is currently snowing. Ha ha ha. It´s really bizzare though because we´re all walking round in shorts and t-shirts and the Spanish are practically shivering whilst wrapped up in their little spanish coats and scarves. Does your body become used to a certain weather or something? If a Russian were to come to England in the midst of our winter, would they think that it was warm?

Also, the Spanish have really back-to-front keyboards. It´s taken me so long to write this. Can´t think of anything worth saying. So I´m gonna go.
